Laos Sunshine School Project - Volunteer in Laos
Situated in scenic Vientiane, this school provides a benign learning environment for young Laotian learners. The friendly nature of the school's staff and students will make you smile from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Volunteer for at least two months and receive a discounted TEFL certificate that you can use to teach all over the world.
We understand your varied requirements and the time constraints arising from your busy schedule. Hence, we have come up with some wonderful combinations of courses and teaching positions, both long and short term.
1. One week of training and two months of volunteering (Project fee: $1,340 US)
- TESOL Certificate course training in Ban Phe, Thailand for one week after online self study ($700)
- Travel from Ban Phe, Thailand to Vientiane, Laos, including departure tax and visa on arrival fees ($90)
- Non-paid teaching position for two months as a volunteer in at either the Youth Outreach Program or the Sunshine School
- Accommodation all through the project ($250)
- Rudimentary Lao language and culture lessons ($100)
- On site help and two follow up visits to the volunteer site ($200)
- Free airport pick up from Bangkok, Thailand

*Fees are determined based on rounded figures compiled from
averages. As we are willing and able to be flexible with
different schedules, some placements will cost more or less for
accommodation based on length of stay and area. Please contact

Participants must be:
- At least 19 years old
- Competent English speakers
Dr. Bill Leon, and instructor in the Program Evaluation department atthe University of Washington, specializing in Education Program
Evaluation, will develop a credit evaulation of your program for
university credit.
